PATRIZIA has appointed Tsukasa Sekizaki as Representative Director and CEO of PATRIZIA Japan to lead the next phase of the firm’s growth in one of the most important markets in Asia-Pacific.

  • Appointment reinforces PATRIZIA’s long-term commitment to Japan, one of the firm’s key growth markets in Asia-Pacific
  • Experienced asset management executive joins following senior roles at Deutsche Asset Management Japan and Eastspring Investments Japan
  • Builds on recent momentum, including PATRIZIA’s major Tokyo residential portfolio acquisition

Tokyo, Augsburg. 6 July 2026. PATRIZIA, an investment manager in global real assets, has appointed Tsukasa Sekizaki as Representative Director and CEO of PATRIZIA Japan to lead the next phase of the firm’s growth in one of the most important markets in Asia-Pacific.

Japan remains one of the most attractive real estate markets globally, supported by urbanisation, resilient rental demand and deep capital markets. PATRIZIA sees significant opportunities across both living and value-add commercial real estate and is committed to expanding its investment platform in the country over the long term.

Asoka Wöhrmann, CEO of PATRIZIA, commented: “Sekizaki-san is a highly respected and globally experienced industry leader with more than three decades of experience in both Japanese asset management and fund distribution, who will bring us to the next level of regional growth.”

Mr Sekizaki joins PATRIZIA after a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years in investment management. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of Eastspring Investments Japan. Prior to this, he was President and CEO of Deutsche Asset Management Japan, where he led the business for more than a decade. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Fidelity Investments Japan, Lehman Brothers Japan and Merrill Lynch Japan.

His appointment comes at a time of strong momentum for PATRIZIA in Japan. In 2025, the firm completed one of its most significant investments in the country to date through the off-market acquisition of a 14-asset residential portfolio in Greater Tokyo comprising approximately 800 apartments and five retail units. The transaction strengthened PATRIZIA’s living platform and demonstrated its ability to source and execute attractive opportunities in Japan’s competitive real estate market, providing a strong foundation for the firm’s next phase of growth under Mr Sekizaki’s leadership.

PATRIZIA is now seeking to build on this momentum by expanding across a broader range of sectors, including value-add commercial real estate, supported by its growing local team and global investment platform.

Mr Sekizaki, Representative Director and CEO of PATRIZIA Japan, commented: “Japan remains one of the most attractive real estate markets globally, supported by strong fundamentals and long-term structural trends. I look forward to working with our clients, partners and colleagues to build on PATRIZIA’s strong foundations and support the next phase of growth in Japan.”
