PATRIZIA at INVESTMENTexpo 2025
Shaping the future with substance and strategy. Fresh impetus for infrastructure and living

On 21 and 22 May, PATRIZIA participated and actively contributed to INVESTMENTexpo, the leading industry event for institutional investors in real assets.
Janin Söder, Head Sales Infrastructure DACH, joined the HANSAINVEST Infrastructure Forum to explore the role of infrastructure as a resilient asset class.
The next day, Heiko Süß, Managing Director Fund Management Core Living, spoke about emerging residential trends at the CT Real Estate Partners Forum.
A big thank you goes to the organisers of the INVESTMENTexpo and our entire team on site!
Alongside Janin Söder and Heiko Süß, the team also included Amir Darabi, Dr Marcus Cieleback, Anke Dörnemann, and Dominik Röhrich.
Janin Söders key takeaways:
The role of infrastructure as a resilient asset class
- Infrastructure is the backbone of society.
- The most promising investment fields are data centres, energy-from-waste, and EV charging.
- Stronger political support is needed to boost institutional allocations.
- Infrastructure offers inflation protection, resilience, and consistent demand – qualities especially valuable in uncertain times.
- The boundaries between real estate and infrastructure are becoming increasingly blurred – infrastructure is the new real estate.
Heiko Süß' key takeaways:
CT Real Estate Partners Forum
- Future Housing Models are diverse and increasingly in demand.
- Microliving helps to cushion the excess demand in urban centres.
- Co-living combines mobility and community, with strong potential for metropolitan areas.
- Senior living is a social necessity but remains a challenge.
- Student accommodation is booming, especially in international university locations.
- Key success factors are consistent demand and concepts tailored to the target group.
