Associate - Performance Analytics (m/w/d)

Your New Position in London, United Kingdom

PATRIZIA is a leading partner for global real assets.

The expertise and commitment of our global teams form the basis of our success.

Shaping a sustainable future and making a positive contribution to society is what drives our daily

We are looking for a new colleague in the Performance section of the Investment Strategy and Research Team. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable and adaptable.

The ideal candidate will have some experience of performance measurement and also be familiar with / able to read financial statements. A large part of the role, as it stands, is in obtaining the relevant figures from the fund accounting to update the performance metrics, and also to be able to sense check the output KPIs before reporting them to relevant stakeholders.

The performance analytics team is going through some exciting changes, as it moves from very manual, Excel based performance measurement, over to more systems-based reporting, which will free up time to more deeply analyse the data. Therefore, the role will evolve over time from a more manual reporting role to a more creative and analytical role, although reporting will continue to be a part of it. During the migration process, part of the role will be to support in sourcing and gathering, checking and processing the data needed to feed into the new systems.

Existing role responsibilities (performance measurement)

  • Update Excel ‘performance database’ with accounting data for PATRIZIA International funds to produce performance calculations (fund and property level)
  • Liaise with London Fund Services (accounting team) where any data provided looks unusual
  • Review / sense check updated fund performance calculations
  • Provide and sign off (after training), fund data for market benchmarking and consultation:

-Fund and Property level to MSCI

-Fund and Property level to INREV

-Townsend Fund / Client level for specific funds / investors

  • Work with MSCI and INREV platforms / teams to obtain relevant index or benchmark data and assist when PATRIZIA colleagues need access to that market data
  • Provide bespoke analysis to London Fund Managers for board papers / quarterly reports etc

As needed

  • Supporting Client Services team e.g. updating questionnaires with performance data
  • Ad-hoc requests - benchmark comparison, market data, returns and IRRs etc
  • Provide support as needed to other members of the PA team and sometimes the wider IS&R team.

Required skillset

  • 2-3 years' experience in a related analytical role, with ideally some of that experience in the commercial real estate sector
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills, good knowledge of formulas, functions and chart creation
  • Keen attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to problem solve but also to know when to seek help when necessary
  • Strong communication skills within immediate team, with relevant colleagues throughout PATRIZIA and external parties (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; good time management skills
  • Power Point and presentation skills as the IS&R team is quite exposed and all team members are required to participate in presenting from time to time. Support / training can be given here
  • Experience of benchmarking would be preferable
