Corporate Governance
In 2002, a commission implemented by the German Federal Government approved the German Corporate Governance Code and resolved various changes to the code on June 6, 2008. In accordance with Article 161 of the Aktiengesetz (AktG – German Stock Corporation Act), the code has a legal basis by means of the statement of compliance.
The code is there to provide recommendations and suggestions regarding the management and monitoring of German listed companies with the objective of promoting international confidence in the German financial market. The code is geared toward nationally and internationally recognized standards for good and responsible corporate governance and, to a significant extent, refers to legal regulations.
PATRIZIA Immobilien AG welcomes the corporate governance regulations and bases its actions on the recognized principles of good business management. The code encourages the principles long practiced by PATRIZIA while stimulating the active further development of the existing corporate culture at the same time.
